Brand Book for Designers & Developers

I lead the creation and implementation of user interface brand standards for Videology’s advertising software. Videology had been developing its platform for more than 3 years with minimal user interface standards. This resulted in a platform, slew with inconstancies and misaligned back end code. At the end of this project, Videology’s platform was consistent in look, functionality, and code allowing for flexibility during furniture iterations.

I was able to tackle this project by first analyzing the current platform, identifying the commonalities, inconsistencies, and documenting each component of the current platform. I then used this information to build new standards. Along the way, I conducted user feedback sessions to ensure that the new standards aligned with the user's mental models. This project took 3 months and resulted in a highly organized InVision document containing over 130 screens outlining the look and function of 29 platform components.

After the creation of the new standards, I directed the front end development team in charge of integrating the new standards into the platform. These responsibilities included running daily stand ups, managing resources, quality assurance testing, and ensuring new and old standards were integrated seamlessly together.
